I purchased a Touring L AWD (3) weeks ago. I have put 1400 miles on it so far. AWD system is an American Axle Eco Trac system. You can google that for more details. Axle ratio is lower than FWD Pacifica. (3.73 vs 3.25) You can not get a spare tire for an AWD from Chrysler due to the larger brakes. (There is another Pacifica forum where I detail my spare tire solution) AWD car is heavier. Slower 0-60. Less mpg. (Last weekend`s trip 900 miles, 24.6 mpg)
That all said, I still love the new van. It's quieter than my Grand Caravan, handles better, and rides better. To me, it is like a big Chrysler 300.
