ADVANCED SEARCH
Seems like you guys are having some difficulties implementing Advanced Search
Why don't you guys add a Google Custom Search Engine (CSE)?
The basic CSE is free and very helpful.
Right now people are going to Google to find what they are looking for in this site (shame).
Just a suggestion, many sites use Google CSE and it works.
Thanks for the suggestions. We are not adding third party products to the site. You are welcome to use google resources for searching the site and the entire internet, we are just not adding a product we cant directly support to any one site or the entire network of sites. We are still working on search products and will update you as we have more info.

Today I tried to add a picture to my albums and it took me over 15 min to figure it out how to reach the button UPLOAD a media item... it is so complicated... I had to try so many options until the button appeared... can you make it more direct? I can not even remember all the options I tried...
Where you trying to ad images to your showcase gallery?

Of course I will use google or anything else I want, don't need your permission.

It is just a shame that this site is going backwards instead of forward.

For your information, Google supports itself, contrary to xenforo, been weeks already and still a long way to go.

Thanks for posting anyways.

Dear Community Members,

We are excited to announce that we are live on our new forum platform! We have been working hard over the past few months with a leading design and product firm to deliver a cleaner, faster and more engaging experience for you. We have leveraged XenForo tools and features but added layers of modern design and technology to make the site run faster, smoother and more reliably. All of the valuable content within the community is still here, even though the layout may look different.

A consistent experience across all devices
The site is optimized for all screen sizes, including mobile. All features are available and ready to use on all devices.

Speed and reliability are key
No one should have to wait for information. This site has been built to be much faster and more reliable, period.

Easy to use and navigate
We have made the design clean and simple to focus on the areas the community uses the most and removed clutter.

We have also introduced a number of new and updated features:

New Homepage Experience
Your home page now features the most active forums, trending discussions, featured showcases, and top contributing members. This will help keep you up to date on what’s happening in your community and eventually become a very personalized experience for our members with all the great content you love surfaced effortlessly for you.

Search
We have introduced new search algorithms, powered by an industry-leading AI platform, that will help you find information faster. We plan to roll out new features to continue improving search, and to power many additional areas of the forum.
Due to the volume of content our search platform may take some time to complete indexing. During this process, you may see a limited number of posts until indexing has been completed. We appreciate your patience.

Popular and New Posts
We have made it easy to navigate directly to the Popular (previously Active Topics) Posts. You can find the Popular section, which includes “New Posts”, by clicking on the trending up arrow in the navigation. Always be up to date!

Bookmarks
Now you can bookmark your favorite discussions! Bookmarks are a handy way to remember and easily find great content or stuff you want to read later.

Following
Following a thread is a great way to stay up-to-date on the topic, and receive alerts or emails when there are new replies. Thread subscriptions and watched threads are now called “Followed”. Your followed threads can be accessed by clicking on your user avatar, and clicking “Following”. We have migrated all of your existing subscriptions into the new platform.

Show off your own collection.
We have introduced “My Showcase” for you to show-off images of your own vehicles, modifications or road trips to the rest of the community and we have migrated in the existing data from our vBulletin Garages. This is your opportunity to upload often and share your passion! Visit Showcase.

Dark Mode

We have introduced Dark Mode. One of our favorite features allows you to access the site with a power-saving, and easier on the eyes dark mode. You can access it through the right-hand drop-down menu.

We also wanted to make it easier for new users to understand the lingo of forums. We have cleaned up various language to more commonly recognized phrases including:

Forum Listing – the forum index, or forum home, is now known as the Forum Listing page. It can be found in the drop-down menu with the 3 dots.

Following - Thread subscriptions, and Watched are now known as Following

Conversations – Private Messages or PMs are now conversations and can be accessed from the user avatar drop-down in the main navigation

Showcase – Showcase is designed for users to "showcase" items/projects through the use of uploaded images, text descriptions and custom content categories. It’s a way to visually and textually provide detailed information on content you wish to share. The showcase would be similar to a catalog, whereas gallery would be like a photo album. Can be accessed from the drop-down menu with the 3 dots

Popular – is the new name for Active Topics. You can also directly navigate to New Posts / Today’s Posts from this button

Account Settings – is the new name for UserCP. The account settings can be found by clicking on your avatar in the top right navigation

Bookmarks – a great place to store valuable content that you may want to reference later.

These are just a few of the great new functions and features to try on the site. Take a tour and look around! If you have any questions, please check out the HELP section for some quick FAQs about the new platform, Help Section

Please let us know what you think about the new experience, your feedback is important to us.

Thank you all for your support during this amazing journey!

I don't see a way to search a specific forum or "search this forum" to search the forum I'm in. Those were the most useful tools here. What a step backward. There are threads on certain topics that I know are here. but can not be found by searching whole community.

Our development team is actively working on our search feature. I hope to have an update soon.

I received this email
SavayVosabi replied to a discussion you are following at Price Check

Now that the Christmas season is in full swing, I think you might find the oil for $12 once again. During the anniversary sale it was for $9. I am never buying cheap wiper blades again, the last cheap set I bought at walmart for $12 lasted less than a year. The $15 wipers I bought at Canadian...

When I click on View Discussion button the post can not be found... strange... the last post of this thread was 18 days ago ... and it is not Christmas season in full swing :ROFLMAO:

I just checked SavayVosabi and...

Oops! We ran into some problems.
This user's profile is not available.

Maybe the guy is gone... but why did I get the email? And there is no alert for the post on the website!

BTW, this important thread is very well 'hidden'... it took me 5 min to find it... maybe it can be 'glued' on top of the popular list? When I have an issue I could open it right away...

That guy was a spammer, probably banned already.

He posted a link to a casino site.

Regarding that thread (you received the old link), is a thread nobody see, according to:

I dislike how it says any certain posts was "9 days ago" or " 5 months ago". Just give me the date. Don't make me guess.

This! I have a 4th gen. Was looking up stuff related for that and had to wade through 600 posts, most of which were for newer vans. That info doesn't apply to my RS van.

Seems as if Sigs can now be 4 lines instead of two. 👍

If you hover your cursor over the "9 days ago" you get the DATE and TIME the post was created.

I guess that's kinda helpful to know. But since I had to complain about it, it's clearly not intuitive to find. Like so many other things. There's no reason to hide the actual timestamps.

It's nice that signatures are always there... almost kinda. Gotta click something to see the whole thing. WHY?? Why must things be hidden to some degree? Is that an option I can turn off so I can always see the entire signature?

Wanna know who posted in a tread last? Visit the thread.
Wanna know when a post was? Hover over the vague timestamp. But if on a phone, buzz off.
Wanna see a signature? Click another thing.
Wanna find your own posts? Click this one non-intuitive thing and a couple more things.
Wanna do a specific search? Well too bad.

Admins on this site are very stubborn, you give them options and still don't listen.

This new platform supposed to make them make more money, but seems like is not working.

Members now are blocking ads (me included), so if they don't fix it, they will loose revenue.

Found a very good ad blocker, I don't see any ads anymore (not one). I don't even watch site vendors anymore. Guess is what they want.

Agreed, even one lines signatures are partially obscured until you click "Show Full Signature", you should be able to see the entire signature if it's only one or two lines long.
