after just 5 months of use. Im wondering how these keys are going to hold up in the long run. The paint around the Chrysler emblem is even coming off. It looks nasty!
It seems on par with other car fobs I have had over the years. I think it is the same basic fob that Mercedes uses. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they are somewhat water resistant. I accidentally had mine in my pocket when I wen on a waterslide at Magic Mountain last week and figured it just wouldn't work any more. It worked perfectly. I was happy.
The fob is laughable- feather-light and not very robust. One of the fobs that came with my van was a bit worn....and then it stopped working. I figured the battery was dead....nope, it was rusting away. I disassembled the whole thing and cleaned it all up....use better o-rings, Chrysler!
