Hello All,
I have a new sound coming from the rear of my van wondering if you guys have any ideas on it. Whenever the weifgt shifts, like when i back out of the driveway or take a sharper corner, I get a kind of creaking sound. Any ideas wondering if could be rear sway bar bushings? The vehicle is a 1999 plymouth grand voyager espresso package any help greatly appreciated.
Rear shocks?
Rear spring rubber mounts?
If your van has a rear anti-sway bar, a problem with the link?
Gas tank mounts?
Spare tire not up snug?
Muffler/tailpipe hangers ... maybe one missing?
Rear tailgate not quite tight ... rear tailgate rubber gone hard?
I've had that sound for months. I notice it more during the day. I greased everything in the area, tightened the jack and sat in the back while my wife was driving pushing my feet against the door and still can't figure it out. It seems like it could be coming from inside rear hatch. I removed the spare which did nothing.
Mine is a 98 grand.
Thanks for all your suggestions. There has been no new cargo and the jack and the spare have not been touched. I will try some of the suggestions and let you guys know if anything changes, seems to be worse on colder days.
