2001 Town & Country cruise problem
My 2001 Town & Country has developed an intermitent electrical anomily involving the cruise control. Without the cruise control on switch being depressed, the cruise control indicator on the dash will light and the speed-o needle will race to 60 mph or higher - engine does not race. At slow rpm's (stop light or stop sign) engine will die but will restart easily. I unhooked the horn/cruise control electrical connecter under steering wheel - van no longer seems to die at slow rpm's but cruise light on/speedo needle spike still happens. I read in 3rd generation forum that there were recalls with an electrical connecter in the steering column that also involved the air bag. My air bag indicator light seems to be functioning normally.
