BCM - who has removed one?

Trying to get the BCM off of the fuse cluster under the dash. Three bolts off to loosen the fuse cluster and two small bolts holding the BCM to the fuse cluster. It looks like it should just slide off. Something is still holding it on. Can anybody tell me where the secret connector is?

Sometimes you have to go back and do it right. Last night I tried to do it 'quickly'. Today I did it right, took the lower column cover and underlying panel off to get proper access to the fuse assembly. 20 minutes later it was all out.

I removed mine awhile back, the third bolt on the top left of the BCM is what threw me for awhile. Googled for the same problem after not finding it here and figured out that 3rd one is what was holding me up. Couldn't see it unless you knew exactly where it was and even then you had to work hard to get the right viewing angle

Awhile back there was a link here for getting at the Blower motor relay, does anyone still have that? It is helpful for getting at the BCM.

    BCM Replacement

Regarding the BCM, is Chrysler the only source for a replacement part? On my 1996 Grand Voyager, the BCM was replaced 3 years ago for about $600. It now is on the blink again and the Chrysler service estimate is now $1000, including about $700 for the part. Based on the previous discussion, the installation doesn't sound too bad; a reasonably priced part would be nice.

If your SURE it's the BCM... $500 will buy you a whole lotta chances at the junk yard lottery... There's certainly piles of 3rd gen vans in the yards - just try to best match the part number/options. Many yard even warranty their parts for a month...

I just had mine repaired by a Tech on the outskirts of Detroit, He did a great job. $155 including shipping, quick turn around also.

If interseted I can give out his email. This way all my info was intact.
