AutoZone and Advance sell the whole shootin' match for $89.99 and says "Dorman window regulators are direct replacements and are re-designed to improve known failure points."

My passernger-side window has only worked once in the last year. Didn't need it much. I went out about 10 minutes ago and did this procedure (if you can call it that)........didn't work. Tried it again and damned if that window didn't begin working perfectly.

I had to do that to my 03 quite a few times.... eventually the window regulator will need to be replaced... but it works well till it finally breaks.

Now that the "Alex bump" made my passenger window work, it goes up and down so much better than the drivers' I need to lube/grease that one.
Any great "Alex-type" easy fix for it??

I know it sounds strange, but this also worked for me. I had to slam the door pretty hard, but it actually did work !

Slamming the door didn't work for me, so then I tried pushing on the rubber weatherstrip as mentioned somewhere in this thread, that didn't work either, so I just held the switch down and bumped the glass with my fist, volia, the window went down!!!! I love it, thanks a lot!!!!!!!!

Is there anything I could lubricate to keep this from happening again? I did wipe a little armorall on the weatherstrip.

Vaseline on the weatherstrips. Rubb it in real good and wipe off excess. It's a good thing to do to all of your rubber seals every so often. ESPECIALLY on convertibles. Keeps them pliable. Also if you have some crust buildup on the top edge of your glass about 1/4 down, take some washer solvent and clean it off. I have some fantastic lube we use now for glass channels, but the name escapes me at this hour...lol..i'll post it later. K-44 is one of them

My husband was searching you forum for answers related to our driver's side window not working.

I was out of town for 3 weeks. My husband joined me and parked my car at the airport for a week.

When I returned to drive my mini van only the driver's side window would not roll down. The passenger side was fine. I had had no problems before this. My husband went out and tried this.

My inoperable window rolled down fine! It must have just gotten stuck or something.

Thank you. Thank you. How folks it is worth a try before an expensive repair.
