I almost didn't post this because it is so self-evident after doing it.
My wife and daughter had been complaining about the fact that it took too much force to open and close the sliding doors on the van, a 1997 T&C. At first I just sprayed a shot of WD-40 on the two rollers that I noticed when I looked into the door opening. It helped, but not enough.
They kept whining.
Today, I looked at it again, and noticed the THIRD roller that is in the rail behind the door.
Duh!
Hit it with WD-40 and the door opening and closing effort required dropped by half!
Yup that is all that is required to keep the doors working good , just hit the rollers where it can seep into the bearings and you should be able to close them with 2 fingers . Have a 96 that closes better than our 2004 . Going to hit those one of these days .
