Strange turn signal problem

I'm having a problem that happens intermittantly. When i go to use the right turn signal sometimes the indicator light will stay on even when the signal switch has returned to the centre position. When this happens the right brake light stayed on even when the vehicle was shut off (noticed it from in the house). To fix the problem i flick the signal from left to right a few times and it will be back to normal for a while. Vehicle is a 2000 grand caravan.

any info would be greatly appreciated

Had the same problem in my '96 a few times. Each time it was the turn signal relay/flasher. Mine had daytime running lights, so the plug-in unit was always expensive. I think it was under the drivers side dash. It was dealer only at the time too.

Actually, the DRL flasher is cheaper than the Non DRL flasher at my dealership.

I paid $28 for it.

The non DRL was $32.

Since I WANTED the DRLs, I was willing to pay the lesser price. :)

I believe even the non-DRL version is still a dealer item since it is considered a relay and not a 'flasher.' At least that is what the guy at Advance Auto said.
