    Rear Fold Down Seat

Have a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. When I fold down the third row seat the seat legs do not retract into the floor. There is a small plastic part that is broken which tightens the cable. When I called to check on the part Dodge tells me I must replace the whole cable at about $150 for the part. Has anyone else had this problem. Right now a cable tie is holdings the legs down to the floor. Thanks Helene

    Heleno,

I don't know if this is what you need but Dorman just came out with a "Seat Repair Kit" part number 924-276 (See page 2 of this pdf).

    Link: Dorman Products

You can find it on Ebay for around $40.

    As a side note:

Did anybody notice the power steering reservoir for the 4th gen in the Dorman PDF under the seat repair kit?

Less than 20 bucks, not bad.

George Found out this is the part for Chrysler Town and country they said it will not fit a Dodge Grand Caravan. Not going to spend the money on ebay and find out it won't work. Thanks for the try. Helene

My 2005 T&C has the same problem with the 3rd row seats: they fold into the back well without problem but the legs stick up about 7 inches. You can push them down to become flush with the floor, but they just pop up. When I have to use the cargo space I just put a cover over them and all is well.

The part listed seems to be for the folding mechanism and not for the leg cable ....

Plan to go to one of the local stores and see if they have this. I don't think it is for the legs, but if it is I will let everybody know. I bought a luggage strap but still haven't put it on. I usually just put weight on them and they stay down.
