I always checkout Tire Rack www.tirerack.com and read the customer reviews. I just put on a set of General Altimax HP and they are great. I purchased the road hazard warranty also. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....del=Altimax+HP

I had to laugh when I read the title of this topic cause its exactly the 2 tires I'm looking at for our van. The Michelins seem hard to get right now.

I'm no tire expert, and I could be totally wrong, but to me it always seemed like a tire with a treadwear warranty like the Michelins lacked something somewhere because of what the rubber compound must be like. The Firestones are rated better in the snow which is important to me, plus the Michelins would be dry rotted years before I ever got anywhere near 90,000 miles on em.

A local place will do 4 of the Precision tourings mounted and balanced for $466.00. Thats the route I plan to take shortly when I pull the trigger.
    2005 T&C touring. 63K and counting.
