    oil change light reset question

Hey guys...2011 caravan and the manual states to reset the oil change light turn key to the "on" position and fully press down on the gas pedal three times...now my question. Isn't this also a great way to flood your engine? Or is that a thing of the past? Advice needed! Thanks a lot guys.

Thing of the past. My 2008 and 2011 Caravan reset the same way.

The injectors don't fire when you are doing that, so it won't flood.

Although if you hold the pedal all the way down and turn the key, the car will not start. I do this after I change to oil for a few seconds to get oil in the oil pump.

Electronic Throttle Control (aka drive by wire) = no throttle cable, all the gas pedal does is send a signal to the computer (PCM) that it is being depressed...
