    remove oil pan--05,06,07

    I have o6 caravan 3.8--I believe 05 to 07 is the same. What did u do to remove the oil pan. looks like a couple of brackets blocking the drop of the pan. What else. Anyone done it before?

    It's not a bad job at all, the bracket you're talking about is held on by 18 or 19mm bolts (can't remember which). Once that's out of the way, it's just a matter of removing the many 10mm bolts and the pan comes down very easily.

    ok, only one bracket. i looked up there and it looked like had to remove 2nd bracket, but there is no 2nd one, right?

    Did you use ext. for socket or swivel? anything else that i should be prepared for?

    Have some of Popeye's spinach before you try to loosen the bolts on the brace or some pipes to lengthen your wrenches.

    Just got under van, do you have to remove the water intake line (the metal line) between left and right hose that then goes into the water pump. I ask because it looks like there could be a little clearance problem.

    Metal water line doesn't need to be moved, the pan will clear it
