I haven't referred to the SERVICE manual yet to see if it says anything, but the OWNER'S manual is supremely unhelpful when it comes to using the stereo ("Please refer to the Chrysler Car Audio Manual" or somesuch).
Most everything on the stereo is pretty self-explanatory, but I can't figure out how to set the clock. I've played with just about every combination of buttons that I can try, but no luck. Short of unhooking the battery at noon, can anyone tell me how to do this?
There are usually 2 tiny, recessed buttons labeled M and H, and they can be hard to see. They are sized to be pressed with a pen head.
Thank you so much you were very helpful by this message I set my clock as you mentioned I never know about those tiny buttons H-M
On this one, it's to the right of the tape deck. Yours is probably similar, though I'm not entirely familiar with the radio line up in the 1st gen's.
Press the SET button then it goes into P1 mode, press again for P2 mode,( hours and minutes), then turn station dial.
this is off the top of my head, i'll have to go check my older van.
Radio must be turned ON, cant set time in the OFF position.
That may be correct. We've never owned a 1st gen van, hence my lack of knowledge on their radios, but I believe this is how you set the clock in my mom's old '91 Plymouth Acclaim. That procedure rang a bell, anyway.
Hwystar's procedure should work like a charm. I seem to remember that procedure from my '92 before I replaced the head unit with one that has an auxiliary input for my iPod.

Ah ha! THIS correlates with what I'm seeing...I couldn't get it to work with the other procedure, but this looks like it might. I'll try it when I get home from work tonight.
