    Eco Mode on 4.0L ???

While filling up my tank today, I noticed that on the trip computer there was trip A, trip b, Odo, and Eco... So I left it in Eco and after driving a few minutes noticed it changed to Eco on.... Whats this? how do I turn it off?

I am guessing it changed the shift point to a more Eco friendly shifts..

Yep, its just an indicator that you have the foot off of the pedal really. Put your foot down and watch ECO ON change to ECO. Flat grade with little pedal or down hill is a chance to see ECO ON. Nothing to do with changing shift patters or anything of the sort. Its what you do.

The above posters are correct. Eco ON has nothing to do with anything, except for how you drive it. The ECO light is suppose to be used as a tool to get the most MPG out of your van.

I'll drag this old post up. I notice I have a Eco button on my dash console set up. Pressing it turns it green. Do I assume it stays green if I drive the van nicely and if I put my foot in it, the light goes out? 2014 AVP-SE

It will stay "On" (green) unless you push the button.

I think I tried to see if it would turn off by itself if it was driven in a less than MPG optimal manner and it stayed on.

Thanks. I found some other posts on it. Seems it may just be a gimmick.

    Pretty much.

I find that if you like to feel the power of the 3.6, it's actually less fuel efficient

On your van (2011 and newer) the ECO button actual alters the transmission shifting to help out with mileage a little. The light stays on unless you un-select it or use the auto stick feature with the shifter lever. It's explained it that funny little book that come in the glove box . If you call Chrysler they will send you a several hundred page owners manual for free.
The older vans (2010 and older) don't have an actual button, just an indicator if your in the Eco "sweet spot". The trans is not involved in any way.
