    Will it fit?

We are moving our youngest 6 hrs away, and i would really rather pack the van than drag the utility trailer that far and back empty.

will a queen size bed and spring fit in the grand caravan?

i'm sure the mattress will bend enough bit the spring or box has no flex.

Worst comes to worst, mattress in the van, box on top? It may squeeze in diagonally though.

Best thing to do would be to measure the diagonal space, and measure the queen size bed and the box spring.

I don't think a queen box will fit. A full-size (double) will, but it's a really tight squeeze. Full is 54" wide and it takes a lot of wiggling to get it in and out and has to go in diagonally - queen is 60" wide by who-knows how thick. The mattress will fit no problem as it's flexible. Like Andyg said, box on top, mattress inside. That's how I've always done it.

Checked with u-haul and they want $20 a day for an inclosed trailer.

Guess thats cheaper than getting my trailer inspected or tying it on the roof.
