Changing Left Rear Turn Signal Bulb?

    Hi Everyone,

My left rear turn signal is out. I gather it is something I can do myself. Can anyone give me instructions on how to replace it?

    Thanks!

you need a trox driver to take the tail light out. I don't recall what size you need but i know it's a trox bit or driver. there should be a rubber flap over the screws. Once you remove the screws the tail light should be able to remove the light then twist the socket and pull the light bulb out. once you are done that replace bulb with new one and reverse steps.

    Thanks for your reply.

So, I need to remove the tail light from the outside?

On a quick look on the internet, it seemed the bulb was accesible from the inside of the tailgate?

My wife went to pick up the bulb on the way home and a guy from the auto parts store offered to do it. ( BTW, he replaced it just the way you guys said to )

He told her that the socket is rotting out. This is the second bulb in the last 6 months.

Guess there's just no way of avoiding dealer service!

    Thanks for your help.

Make sure you get to the dealer prior to your warranty expiring.

Some sockets are separate plug ins, like for the front signal/park lights on my Jeep. Don't know about yours, the socket may be a fixed part of the light assembly. Take a look see.
