stow and go in all 2005 and up?

Do all 2005 caravans or T&C's have the stow n' go seating. From what I hear they are not the most comfortable. My son is 6'2. Also I think they don't allow the front driver's seat to go back far enough for driver's leg room.

It's optional on the Grand Caravan, not available on the short wheel base versions.

As for the T&C, this article says:
Built on an all-new platform, the Chrysler Town & Country comes in two sizes. Stow ’n Go seating is standard in the long-wheelbase LX, Touring and Limited models. Side curtain-type airbags protect outboard occupants in all three rows of seats, and the driver gets an inflatable knee blocker.

I'd encourage you to give the Stow-N-Go seats a try. I've got a 4th generation with both. Going from the 03 to the 07, there is a difference. But the Stow-N-Go seats are not uncomfortable per say... they are just not as comfortable as the normal seats in the 03. On trips, they fair just as well in my opinion.

Thanks to all who responded. I will concentrate my search on the shorter base vans. I'm not too worried about my son sitting on the stow n go seats. My concern was that on the vans that did have them, I couldn't push the driver's seat far back enough so it was easier for me to get into with my bad back.

I cant imagine that the driver seat track would be different with Stow N Go,vs normal rear seating.Stow N Go is nice, but to have to go with a LWB model, and live with that horrid exposed exhaust pipe running under the passenger rocker panel (getting very rusty with age),is a deal blower right there. The least Chrysler could have done was to add "ground effects" to conceal that ugly pipe....

All LWB 05-07 are stow and go as far as I know, one reason why those model years are not on my shopping list. I'm 6'2" and those seats are atrocious to me. The 08 and up stow and go seem to be somewhat different and I can sit in those without pain. 08 and up front seats go back further than earlier models as well. Or at least the Limited power ones do, don't know for sure about the others.

One thing to remember, the Stow-N-Go seats are adjustable front to back like the front seats. So if your kids are tall, they can slide the middle seats back away from the front seats.

And as far as the exhaust pipe, I agree it is not the most attractive thing... but I've not seen any issues with them on 05's that already have around 100K on them... Of course we don't live in the 'salt belt' either...

The exhaust pipes get rusty and ugly looking around here. When the stows first came out, I always wondered why the exhaust was so oddly placed on the vans before I learned about the stow.
Candy the van. '98 Sport 3.8L 132,200 miles. Used trans at ~96k. Great piece of my life and a fine van.

    Stow-n-Go

I have a 2007 Chrysler Town and Country and a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan. The Chrysler has Stow-n-Go but the Grand Caravan has a two place middle seat. The back seat on the Grand Caravan folds into the floor. With Stow-N-Go the second row seats slide back and the driverís seat slides back just as far as the Non Stow-N-Go Grand Caravan. The Stow-N-Go second row seats are great. I have ridden in them for several hours at a time and they are comfortable. The best way for you to tell is try them out. If the dealer wonít let you test them then rent one for a day. Stow-N-Go is a great feature and to me stuff like how the exhaust looks or the little difference in the seats is far outweighed by the convenience. If the exhaust bothers you put a pair of running boards on.
