Wire colors in engine bay are: gray, green, green with blue stripe and black.

Replacement part photos online, both on Advance Auto and Dorman websites, show the same wire colors.

Actual replacement part, Advance Auto Driveworks brand and Dorman brand, have pigtail wires red, black, green and blue.

Connected new relay to what I assumed were the correct similar wires, but apparently not. It burned up, literally.

Before I hook up this $50 part again, does anyone have any info on an update or change to the relay wiring? Is there a schematic for the relay itself?

I know the wire harness colors are gray-12v, black-ground, green-to fans and green with blue stripe-pcm, but with the new connector wires different colors and in different positions I think something is wrong. It may be me.

For future reference when using Dorman 902-303 radiator fan relay the wires are in the same positions just the colors have been changed.

From left to right with 12v on left:

Harness- gray 12v in from PDC, solid green 12v to fans from relay, green with blue stripe relay signal from PCM, black ground.

New relay pigtail- red 12v in from PDC, black 12v to fans from relay, green relay signal from PCM, blue ground.

So to repeat, the wire connections are in the same positions, the wire colors have been changed.
