I just purchased a 05 GC SXT which has the 6 disc dvd player. Works great with store bought dvd's but does not play my home made DVD+R's. Is it supposed to play my dvd's? If not can I upgrade to a newer dvd changer that will play my dvd's?
Some old DVD players only play DVD-ROM format, which is probably what is going on with yours. So if you record the DVD+R in ROM format, you can play it. Search dvdhelp.com or something like that to find the tool to set your computer dvd recorder to record in dvd rom. Much better way
I think it only works with DVD -R
Also if you burn music CD's burn at a x4 speed as I have found that many times the CD will error unit I pop it out then back in when I use CD's burnt at x24 speeds.
Thanks for the replies. I think I am going to have to run my portable dvd player throught the aux. inputs until I come up with a better idea. I have to many DVD+r's.
I know it plays DVD-R, I have played my home made ones in it. But, as you have figured out , the inputs are nice and can be better if the guys in the back are controlling that unit.
