    full meal deal

I got the two shots two days ago and the only side effect I got was a little feeling of a warm flush and elation right up to my sinus, after about the first five minutes, but I always feel a little randy when I get the flue. I had taken 800mg of Ibuprofin just before and only got the sore shoulder where the swine flue shot was injected. Slathered on some Vicks Vapo Rub there at bedtime and it seemed to reduce the pain in that area as I found myself sleeping on it. I have used it for the two nights and find the soreness is going away faster. My wife had a little stomach discomfort due to IBS but was fine in the morning. When I went to my doctors office which is a bit of a run on so I will not, the smart ass at the desk said no shots till Dec. and yet my doctor offered me the shot in the exam room when I was there for medication. So my doctor does care but I believe he doesn't know about the conspiracy at the desk. Maybe if I had offered some money up front they would have signed me in for the shot. My doctor did say they had 50 shots. So what are they saving it for.

Lucky you, to got the shots.
The Doctors are playing god with their Patients, it seems. I know a couple that just had a baby. They went to her Doctor. The Doctor gave her a shot but not her Husband. She (the Doctor) was not the Husband's Doctor and was saving the shots for her Patients as she saw fit. She did make up a note for the Husband so he could get the shot at a Clinic, which he did and endured an hour or sos wait. Go figure how this H1N1 flu shot is going down.

The finger pointing has already started between the Doctors and the Medical authorities.

So what shots did you wind up getting? I tried looking through all the posts but may have missed it.

If you got the shot then contracted the flu right after would mean you picked it up from someone while at the doctors office probably. That's another reason why I avoid getting stuff like the flu shot. Going to a doctors office during flu season while you are healthy is asking for something bad to happen imo.

Hope your sickness isnt too bad.

Friend ended up with H1N1 shortly after we went to the bar.. (few days later), but I'm fine. He got the shot, too. Said something about "Not taking chances with my life..." and that was why he was getting the shot.

He got the shot 3 weeks ago, we went to the bar about 1 week ago, he got H1N1 3 days ago. I guess he's getting over it now, but damn... how well is that shot supposed to work?

Don't know much about its medical benefits, but I would bet that it is working very well lining someones pockets. Much too easy for the drug corporations to take advantage of a thing like this.

No benefits at all, actually. He's self employed, like myself. He got the shot out of pocket. I laughed and bought him a beer when he told me about how I should get it too, and explained to him all the reasons that he was so misinformed about Western Medicine in general over a pitcher. He was less than amused, until he ended up w/ the flu shortly after getting the shot.
