    Engine Light On ( Code errors P0455 / P0456 ) 2008 Town and Country

After getting the engine light on I do the test ( insert key, turn on, turn off, turn on, turn off, turn on ) and get this error codes:

    P0455 / P0456

Can I drive the minivan without any problem.

Do I need to go urgently to the dealer so they fix this problem.

Reading here I found that this problem is related to some hoses broken.

Also the error codes from here ( http://www.allpar.com/fix/computer-codes.html ) say: Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System Leak Detected

Also on other web page they say this:

P0455 AND P0456 are all evaporative leak monitor test failures (medium and large leaks).

Check your gas cap for tightness / several clicks. That problem would be covered by your emissions warranty, I would think.

If remedied, disconnect the negative battery terminal for a few minutes to clear the code.

Jeepman the light engine now is off but I still get the error codes.

The only way to clear the error codes is disconnecting the negative battery terminal.

Or if I wait the error codes will be cleared automatically.

At the time the engine code goes on the minivan smells strange.

Do you think I still need to go to the dealer to check the minivan.

How perfect is the minivan check engine light system is, can I trust it?

bring to dealer if under warranty...It could be something as simple as the gas cap...or a hard to detect filler tube fuel blocker clamp missalligned...something simple usually...or could be a vendor issue with a pinhole in a hose above fuel ake...who knows there are a lot of scenerios with this issue...have them figure it out...AND KEEP TRACK of it...because it could come back multiple time for this pain issue unfortunately...It could be a hard issue to pinpoint or a simple one....
