Question Bypass pipe from return radiator hose to engine j

Bypass pipe from return radiator hose to engine is leaking at engine point. Took it off to find that O-ring is almost gone and edge of pipe has missing points or broken off areas. I can not find either the O-ring or this pipe. I have a 1999 Dodge Caravan and I don't have much money to put into van, but need it to take husband to Dr. (stroke 5 yrs now) Any advise or information would be most appreciated.

If this pipe is on the lower part of the radiator, it is called the "water inlet tube". It has an o-ring on the side that goes into the water pump inlet.

I've only found the part at the dealer, and it contains the o-ring.

If you can't afford the dealer version, you can go to a salvage yard -- there are usually many vans of this vintage -- and see if there is something workable.

If I misinterpret your problem, apologies.
