So this morning sitting at the Tim Hortons drive thru I sat some change on the Super Console sliding cover..........bad move, the money slid inside the console and every time I hit a bump I can hear the change rattle.

I looked underneath and there is an LED light and another small hole. Anyone know how I can get inside to remove the money.

It is not that I am cheap and want it back, I just hate rattles and squeaks!!

The picture shows where it slid inside the Super Console.

There is a access panel in that little cubby area, if you are on the drivers side go into the pass through cubby area it will be on your right also pull the drawer out will make it easier...

OK, there is two bolts on each side near the floor and a push pin rivet on each side under the hvac controls. Make sure that you unplug the power jack connectors...

I had the same problem with my 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan R/T but with a driver's license. There is a way to remove the top of the super console instead of removing the whole console. There is a seam that follows along on each side of the console that meets up in the rear of the super console right above the drawer. I was able to pry (lack of a better term) lightly enough to where the clips popped loose. I carefully worked my hands along the seems forward toward the front while gently lifting from from the rear. Once I worked it all the way forward there are 2 clips that are a little stubborn so I used a plastic knife to pop them loose. Be carefull as there are wires that are attached.

It may not be the right method but I took great care not to break anything as my wife would never let me live it down.

I can confirm Bluedragn69_98's Method, My Wife lost her Debit Card the same way as OP. The Dodge Dealer wanted $900 to pull it apart. All I did was Pull out the Drawer, reach under and pull up firm but not hard and the entire top of the console came up, very easily actually. Found $0.45 and our Debit Card. No issues with re-installation, made sure wires did not get pinched. Started with Dash side and just snapped them back down.

Total Time ~10 Minutes, 5 of which I stared at it prior to trying any dismantling.

Yup, that is the way I took apart my console to replace the little change drawer with a DVD player. Just pry up on it starting from the back.

Okay, so I have a similar situation. I had something in the drawer and it slid off and behind the drawer. Can't close the drawer, can't reach the item. I'm blond so I need specific details on how to remove either the drawer or the access panel that was mentioned before. I've gone through my Users Guide and Owners Manual. Neither even mentioned the panel or drawer, except in passing, and I've looked all over for a release for the drawer.

You can try what bluedrgn69_98 in Post #8 or my instructions in post #9. I do believe that will give you access to the full interior of the Super Console, I must admit that I do not remember all of the details inside. If I need to pull it apart soon I will make sure to take pictures and Document a full write up for the site.

2013 Grand Caravan SXT
super console
Tried method described in post #9. Pulled drawer at rear of console completely out, not removed. Grasp console at top of drawer hole. Gave a firm pull upward and console top popped loose. Careful not to pull to high as keepers on console lid toward front of vehicle need to go straight toward rear of vehicle. These are directly below the cubby hole in dash above console.
I retrived my debit card and reassembled and was through in about 10 minutes.
Thanks for your help Fryguy and bluedrgn69_98

Removing Super Console aka Full Floor Console on 2013 T&C

I am sure many people have lost credit cards, coins or any other flat objects after leaving it on the super console aka full floor console. You don't even have to be moving - the front cover is sloped forward so if you leave a card after paying for a meal at a driver thru, it will do a houdini move into that black hole.

It took me almost an hour to remove the super console on my 2013 T&C and I wish I read this forum before I did the work. Any flat plastic or paper will disappear into an abyss if you leave it on top of the sliding cover front of the cup holders, and there is no way to recover them except to remove the top of the console OR to remove the whole console if the item fell further.

It's a pain to remove the whole console and I can see why a dealer may have quoted $900 to do so. There is barely any room to remove the four bolts (7/32 head) even if you move the fronts seats to their extremes. Then there are two black screws at the front top of the console, one on each side, and two screws below the DVD player mount. It is much easier to just remove the top portion of the super console as mentioned in this thread above. However, that's only good if the lost object is still hanging onto the edge of the console inside, but if it dropped further into the black hole, then you have to remove the whole console. :nut:

As a preventive measure, every owner with super console should take the top off and put a rail or a guard at the front end of the top portion of the console. I made mine out of good old duct tape to prevent things from falling into the black hole.

When I converted from a Premium console to a Super Console I read the factory manual and looked at the factory parts manual. The FSM shows you to remove the top to get to the electrical connectors which is not hard to do. As I recall 2 screws to the dash then pull up and back. The entire process takes about a minute

My Discover card pulled this disappearing act last night. This thread was very handy. I popped the top off and put in a piece of self-stick foam like shown above. Found my wife's missing shopping list too.

Sorry to resurrect an old(-ish) thread, but has anyone gone one step further than just removing the top of the console and been able to get their items? I just got married 5 days ago and my wife just put her wedding band on the cover and it's disappeared into the abyss. I've taken off the top and the sides (getting to those bolts is nearly impossible) but can't get the drawer out or remove the entire console itself. I used to work in a body shop working on Acura/Honda, BMW, Mercedes, etc and I'm AMAZED at how bomb-proof this stupid thing is. Thanks a lot, Chrysler.
Any help is appreciated.

Dodge Super Console removal to retrive lost items .

I just lost a Restauant card in that compartment and took this advise. The3 top of the console simply popped off with very little forcing. Get it off and up far enough to reach in and get your lost item . Like people say here , don't pull it all the way off due to the wires that go to the electrical outlets . Simply snap the console back down and your done. It took me all of 3 minutes to do the whole job.
