Will they fit?

Hey guys and gals. I have a quick question. Will 2 60 inch wide mattresses fit in my van? I'm helping a friend move home from school tomorrow and told her they most likely would fit, probably on an angle or something though. Obviously length isn't a concern in the van, but I'm not too sure about the width. I also don't have time to measure it today so I'm hoping someone can confirm it it jot. Thanks all.

I second that, because I just did that on Monday.

However, it might (?)! be doable if all the rear seats are removed, and you slide the box spring in at an angle first. Then lift the box spring up level with the windows and stuff the mattress underneath it while taco-shaped. In my case, it was easier to just strap it to the roof rack.

I was gonna say a full size matress fits great. Box spring and mattress both if the seats are stowed or removed... But the queen... that'll be a little wide...

60 inches is queen size I believe, so looks like it'll be on the roof. I have the ratchet straps in the van just in case. It will be the first time ever that the roof rack gets used lol.

I'm heading out to go load up in a bit so I'll see.

They must have big queens in the US then. When I worked for a UK bed manufacturer, Queen size was 4'6" (54 inch) and the 5'0" (60 inch) was King size.

Is the box spring in one piece ? or is it two pieces bolted together ? (they usually are in the UK).
If it is in two pieces they will fit in the van standing vertically with the short sides up.

It was a 60 inch wide queen. The box went on the roof and the mattress went inside with a little squeezing required, not much though. Along with it went totes, bags, and other stuff.
