Although I am a fan of occasional use of Techron fuel system cleaner, I am generally not a fan of the usual fuel...
Anyone know more? I know the values of the different fuels but not enough about this engine.
Is 87 octane ok? i.e. whats the compression ratio and does it adjust for the fuels etc...
Diesels are not popular here in the US than in Europe or Asia; probably because it is cheaper in other countries and provides more miles per gallon. I'm looking 2 years from now how it would play out...

Those that have done it, how was your experience?
I got this link from a different forum I'm on, and it's proven useful. Basically, if you want max fuel economy you have to find fuel that is 100% petroleum with no ethanol added. Ethanol-free fuel is getting hard to find, especially with anti-pollution laws being passed to increase the percentage...
Researching the feasability of installing duel fuel on my 97 Chrysler Voyager, australian delivered.
Has anyone had any experience of or could point me in the right direction please?
Doable, though fiddly installation.
What kind of effect should I expect from this change? :/
I have already seen many spouses on our base's FB page very upset with this and say their vans perform subpar at best with E10.
Thank you in advance!
I am the type of person that NEEDS a minivan, not my first choice in vehicle - but with 3 busy kids, a big dog, and the constant busyness of our lives, only a minivan will get the job done. I have had dodge or chrysler vans for along time. I remember my first one, back when they were all boxy and...
Local stations just started selling E85, since my van is flex-fuel I though I'd give it a try, but before I do I'd like to see who's running/ran it and what kind of results they've gotten.
It's cheaper then regular 87 octane, but from what I've heard you get less MPG from E85.
So who is filing up their t&c with flex fuel?
What are the advantages and disadvantages when using this fuel in our vehicles?
I've noticed so far by using e85 on cold weathers my rpms are stock at 2k when doing a cold start.
Don't know how to explain it but the car feels more powerful...
I know the story is a month old, but.....I always like to pass this type of news along.
Not a fan.:beerchug:
People try this on her caravan? I try it but not in my van and that works. The only problem is the amperage, for have a good performance of hydrogene they must take a lot of current.
It wouldn't hurt my feelings a bit as far as corn based ethanol is concerned.
Switch grass plans were apparently ignored or didn't work.
Maybe Vera Sun is a perfect example of how the whole thing will pan out. (Vera Sun went bankrupt)
Hi all, I have a 2008 T&C with the 3.8 engine. While I know this is not a flex fuel, which really bums me out, I am wondering if anyone has tried E85 with this engine and what the results were.
...you used a renewable fuel?
What is old hat to many of you is new and exciting to me. The stars and planets aligned today and I found myself at America's Fuels in Southern Pines, NC, staring down that glorious yellow fuel dispenser. How sweet thy product.
We were driving to Virginia...
This was an email to the NEVC (National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition):
Filler Er Up with E85!
For the past 5 to 8 years, regardless of what kind of vehicle I am driving, I almost always fill up with E85. None of these vehicles were or are E85 equipped. I always start out with E10...
Greetings from antoher side of the world, Finland, northern Europe
And talking about E85 fuel, it's impact to food production etc.
E85 is a new thing here in Finland. At the moment there are only six stations selling it. I have been using only E85 since it came to market in April 2009. Very...
