  1. Sticky Thread Sticky: What's the mileage on your 4th generation?

Wow can't believe the van is at 180,000 Kms now.Only 20,000 kms to go until the big 200,000 kms. Seems just like yesterday I bought the van. Is their any thing that I should be on a look out for at this point? Also whats the current mileage on your 4th gen?

  2. Sticky Thread Sticky: Owner programmable Features

Well, after a few threads about people not knowing about features that can be programed by owners without the Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC), I scanned my owners manual with the ones contained in there. Just FYI, this is out of a 2005 manual, so other years may be different. Some may...

  3. Sticky Thread Sticky: 02 T&C power sliding door issue

I got a 2002 T&C Lxi, this is an intermittent problem. Sometimes the drivers side power sliding door will click open but that is it. It will not retract open. Sometimes it will work normally as well. Funny thing is is when the sliding door will not work the lift gate will act the same, pop open...

  4. Sticky Thread Sticky: FYI - Chrysler acronyms - (what do those initials stand for?)

This may help a few of you, since this has been coming up quite a lot lately. It is by no means complete, but it is a start. Here is a list that was posted on the Jeep forum by user "TheStigX" http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f9/heres-list-chrysler-acronyms-1060854/ Here's a list of...

  5. Sticky Thread Sticky: Caravan/T&C/Voyager oil filter

I usually get my oil changed at a local dealer for $21.95 and they always seem to do a good job. (No long waits, friendly service etc.) This time I did it myself to save some time and I went to Wal-Mart to purchase my oil and filter. While looking at the four or five kinds of Fram filters they...

  1. Sway bar bushings part 4

In an earlier thread I mentioned replacing my sway bar bushings three times and still have the squeak during up and down travel of the front suspension. This morning I removed the sway bar end links, which were replaced last fall. This was done to disable the entire sway bar system to isolate...

  2. FYI how to turn cigarette power ports on all the time

In case it helps anyone, my 2005 Dodge Caravan model has 2 power ports (only 1 in the front, and 1 in the middle) and they only turn on with the ignition, but I got the middle port to stay on all the time (even when the car is off) by simply moving a 20amp fuse in the fusebox -- it's the one that...

  3. Added Drivers Side Power Door Parts...It doesn't work...

I pulled a door from the local Pick A Part. I figured the best thing would be to get the whole door to make sure I didn't miss any parts. So, we (Me & Son), swap over all of the parts to make drivers side power move. All the parts bolted in just fine. Now I need to let the van know it has the power...

  4. Installed a 3.8L throttle body to a 3.3L

Checked them side by side at the bone yard, 3.8L is 20% larger, doesn't seem like it but side by side, it is quite a bit larger. Installed it. Impressions? No CEL, perfect idle, seems much more willing to move. Took it on the freeway at WOT and zero issues except for feeling like its much...

Hello, everyone!! I am new to this forum. I want to apologize in advance if I do something wrong. I appeal to all of you for help. I have a Chrysler T & C 2005 3.3. 6. Hydralic pump

After a change of alternator pulley and a belt I’m getting a grumbling sound and lot of vibrations when I’m turning the steering wheel. This only happen when the car is standing still. I do think it is the hydraulic pump which is defect and must be replaced. Any viewpoints or other likely faults?...

  7. Transmission Fix?

I am getting a dime to quarter size spot of tranny fluid on the ground whenever I park my van. Are there any good stop leak products that might work on this. I can't afford to have it ripped apart for repair right now but I don't want to dump something in that will mess it up. Thanks

  8. Rough 1 - 2 upshift, SOLVED!

Our van has gradually (over the last two-three years) began upshifting roughly on the 1-2 upshift. It would only happen during light throttle on a fully warmed-up engine. The feeling was that of the trans trying to engage second repeatedly, <bump bump bump> until it finally 'caught'. It...

  9. Instrument Gauge Problems, 2005 DGC SXT

My fuel gauge is way off. It'll read 2/3 full when it's actually an empty tank. This happened after I was driving from TX to IL. The instrument gauges all danced around for awhile and then the fuel gauge has always been inaccurate. I tried removing the instrument panel and manually adjusting...

  13. 2004 Grand Caravan 3.8l coolant leak

Hello, I have a leak I can't seem to track down, there's a small leak on the drivers side that I believe is hitting the exhaust and burning up, add nothing is hitting the ground, and I can see the smoke and smell the burned coolant. The smoke is coming from below the upper rad house but it does not...

  15. Program new RKE without programming transponder?

So, as far as I understand it, the integrated remote/transponder keys (at least for 2004 and after) have 2 distinct components: 1) Is the transponder portion. This is the portion of the device that does not use battery power, and is identical in functionality to a transponder key without...

  16. Valve Cover Gasket - 2005 3.8 T&C

I have a 2005 Town and Country with the 3.8 and it appears the front (easy) valve cover gasket is leaking. I realize that the back gasket could also be leaking, but I'm in denial. My question is: In replacing the front gasket, it is as easy as it looks? 1) Does any component need to be moved to...

  17. Rear vent window motors

One of the rear vent windows in my 06 DGC sxt is starting to act flaky. Haven't trouble shot yet. I'm going to start with the switches because that is the usual and most logical thing to wear out first. Just out of curiosity how difficult is it to replace one of those motors? Is it one of those...

  18. Deslugger

Ok, so you learn something new every day and I had no idea this was a thing. So the other day, after doing a ton of work on my 04 Town and Country, I went to get an inspection sticker. I got a couple hundred yards down the street and hit the A/C. The van lurched, badly, for a second and then went...

Have a 2004 town and country lx. Engine light is on and van is stuck in limp mode. Only code showing is p0700. Nothing else. Only other issue is that when I shift the van from park to drive it bucks and stalls when I step on the gas. If I put it from park to reverse then drive it's fine (still in...

  20. 2005 TC compressor locked?

Hello everyone. I was addressing a gurgle in our ac yesterday, and had our ac vacuumed down yesterday by our shop before refilling myself. The shop said they recovered 16oz.
