A recall notice has been issued for over 1 million Chrylser Minivans including the following models;
Dodge Caravan
Dodge Grand Caravan
Chrysler Town & Country
Plymouth Voyager
Plymouth Grand Voyager
The recall is to address an electrical problem where the Drivers Side Airbag may not employ in an accident.
Please contact your local dealer for more information on this official Chyrsler Recall of ALL 1998 to 2000 models of Chrysler Minivans.

Chrysler Group will voluntarily recall and/or extend the warranty on approximately 955,000 1998.5 through 2000 model year minivans registered in the United States to address a potential issue with the clockspring, which supplies continuous current to the driver side airbag, horn and cruise control.
The vehicles affected are Dodge Caravan and Grand Caravan, Plymouth Voyager and Grand Voyager, and Chrysler Town & Country minivans built in North America
Vehicles with less than 70,000 miles (115,000 kilometers) will be recalled and the clockspring replaced at no expense to the owner.
In vehicles with more than 70,000 miles, Chrysler Group will offer an extended lifetime warranty on the driver air bag clockspring.
Owners should check the air bag warning light; if the airbag system is functioning properly, the dashboard air bag warning lamp will illuminate for a few seconds after the vehicle is started and then go out. If the warning light functions properly, there is no need for further action at this time.
If the airbag warning light is not functioning properly or if the air bag clockspring fails at any time in the future, it will be replaced at no charge to the owner.”
Of the total of 1.2 million vehicles affected by this safety action, 955,344 vehicles are registered in the United States, 237,697 in Canada, 73 in Mexico, and 8,154 are registered in other markets.
To date, there is one alleged injury related to this issue.
Owners will be notified of this action beginning the week of Oct. 15. All work will be performed at no charge to the customer.
